Cornwall – travel tips & suggestions?

I’m off to the beautiful Cornwall for a week at the end of July.

Any tips, suggestions, recommendations on places to visit, restaurants to try, foods to sample?

Much appreciated! Ta!

Likewise, if anyone is going to Croatia/Dalmatia and has a few questions, just drop me a line, and I’ll be happy to help if i can!πŸ™‚

  1. You’ll love Cornwall especially if the rain stops, but we still had a good time in the damp. I blogged about it in June (“Cornwall Vacation Reading.”)

I don’t have any restaurants to recommend as we mostly self catered. There were a lot of us so it was a good deal to rent a house we found on the internet. Cornish pasties, ice cream and cream teas are always tasty. I bet you could find some fresh fish too. Enjoy!

  3. I’ve been there years ago on a cycling vacation. I loved it. We cycled more or less along the coast and it was very beautiful. No specific recommendation though because it was so long ago I don’t remember exactly were we went…

  4. I’m really looking forward to going. Will let you all know how it went!

I’m really missing the sea since I moved to Britain, especially this summer/year actually. I really hope we’ll manage a dip in the sea!πŸ˜€

  5. Bring an umbrella and wellies!

We have guests in at the moment and I’m starting to feel a bit sorry for them!

Lets hope it picks up before the week is out.

  6. Thanks for the comment, Phil.

I do hope the weather improves! I am looking forward to the sea so much, and I am really hoping to go swimming! You see, I am Croatian, and my family live on the coast, and I am really missing the sea very much, especially at this time of year.

Can you recommend any restaurants/pubs that we should try? We’ll be staying in St Ives, but we’ll have a car. Thanks!
