I’ve been working on an album over the last few years
which—gasp—is finally complete. I hope you’ll be able to help me

As always, a night at Catweazle includes a serendipitous blend of music,
poetry, stories and other performed miscellany from the glistening depths
of Oxford’s bottomless pit* of artistic talent. You, too, may take the

In addition to the night’s usual cabaret, I’ll be playing an extended set
of tunes from my new album. And I’ll have copies with me (for sale) as
well as homemade, guitar-shaped cookies (for free).

*While this metaphor is appropriate in that it hints at the dark
complexity of the creative struggle, has nice renewable-resource
connotations and neatly ties in with the closing song at last Thursday’s
show, it should not be confused with the colloquialism ‘the pits.’
